I just read this article about the 10 best cities for setting up digital start-ups in the UK.
Although location is not supposed to be a barrier to launching a digital business, the reality is that some locations are more attractive than others to run a digital business from.
Why is that?
Well, basic infrastructure such as a decent broadband connection, access to distribution facilities, the cost of running an office, access to finance, or a localised customer base are all factors that can make all the difference to a business’s chances of success, particularly for those first starting out.

So, the top 3 cities for setting up a star up in the UK?
1. Sheffield
2. Nottingham
3. Leicester

I would have said London or Oxford, or even Glasgow!

Cool! Thank you. I would have said London and Edinburgh.
Although, I understand that smaller cities have a cheaper cost of living so they are much more affordable both for living and for business I think.

You're welcome
I was thinking the same about Edinburgh, maybe beacause I love that city

And yes, you're right about the cost of living in big cities too.
